NADI Continuing Professional Development Series

Prevalence of diabetes mellitus, especially of type 2, is on the increase. This rise is most marked in developing countries, Malaysia included. Thus, there is an urgent need for strategies to prevent this ‘epidemic’ and for early diagnosis of diabetes. Beyond these, there is need for ensuring optimal management of the disease, its complications and associated diseases.

To help address these issues, the NADI organises the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) annually since its inception in 2002. In 2008, this CPD was expanded as ‘Diabetes Asia Conference’ (DAC) to emphasise the uniqueness of diabetes presentation and management in Asians.
